Barton Wyatt’s News from November

November 28, 2019

It’s been a busy month here at Barton Wyatt, as a small business we have to be agile and adaptable to cater for all of our clients’ differing requirements. Whether you’re a vendor or potential buyer or one of our landlords or a tenant – we understand that you all need different things from our team.

Virginia Water and the surrounding area is a sought after location in which to live and work that we are very proud to be part of such a thriving community. We have a long history of finding homes for people new to the area and also those who have lived here for a while and are looking for a change.

We’re going to take a look at some of the news stories from our business and the local area.

Sales Successes

Stephen updating the boardWe are delighted to report that we have recently sold one of the original show homes in the Virginia Park development (asking price £925,000). Virginia Park is a prestigious private gated estate built around the former Holloway Sanatorium, a magnificent Gothic building, now Grade I listed, in the heart of Virginia Water.

The walled estate boasts 24 hour manned security, extensive leisure facilities including a fantastic indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi and sauna, well equipped gym and tennis court. Within easy walking distance of Virginia Water Village Centre with its excellent shops for day to day needs, restaurants and mainline railway station with fast service of trains to Waterloo in 42 minutes.

We were able to find the perfect buyer for this property and worked hard to get this deal over the line; our combined efforts meant that we were able to reach exchange and completion all within four weeks. Fantastic effort from the team!

We would also like to congratulate our the sales team on fantastic job achieving the sale of a stunning property on Titlarks Hill (asking price £6,250,000) in Sunningdale. The buyers were a local family who had decided to upsize to their dream home.

Steve said “I had been sat at my desk in the office for a while with a photo of this stunning property on Titlarks Hill, Sunningdale, next to me… Perhaps it was always meant to be!”

Lyne Place Manor

We are also pleased to report that we have sold our third property in two years in Lyne Place Manor, GU25. This a charming historic building and offers something different for our buyers and had an asking price of £875,000.

Lyne Place Manor is approached via a long private drive and is situated in a beautiful rural setting in amongst 8 acres of gardens. Despite having this country feel, the property is only 1 mile from Virginia Water with its shopping parades for day to day needs, restaurants and mainline railway station.

With its excellent travel connections it is truly a wonderful place to live and we are delighted to be able to bring these properties to market.
